Thomas Massie is a dynamic business leader who has founded 3 companies (Bridgeline Digital, Focus Enhancements, & Mass Microsystems); each experienced rapid growth, became market leaders, and all 3 companies achieved successful IPO's (Initial Public Offerings). Cumulatively, Massie's 3 ventures generated over $750 Million in revenue and in multiple years were recognized by Inc 500 and Deloitte Fast 500 as amongst the fastest growing companies in America. In addition to rapid growth, all 3 ventures received dozens of industry related awards.
From 2001 to 2007, Thomas was a member of the Board of Directors of MapInfo, a location intelligence software company. He was Chairman of MapInfo's Corporate Governance Committee and in 2007, MapInfo was acquired by Pitney Bowes for $480 million dollars.
Thomas third venture, Bridgeline Digital, was a leading digital engagement platform company that rapidly grew to over $25 million in annual revenues. When Bridgeline had only $3 million in revenues, it was then Massie and Bridgeline embraced Sandler Training methodologies and best practices - this played a vital role in driving the company’s rapid growth. Impressed and an ardent believer in Sandler Training, Massie was compelled to participate in its success. He is now the President & CEO of TOPLINE Performance Solutions, a Certified and Award Winning Sandler Training franchise.
Thomas is also currently an Operating Partner at a Boston based private equity firm, WAVE Equity Partners. WAVE accelerates market validated companies that are solving some of the World's greatest challenges in essential markets for energy, water, waste, and food. As an Operating Partner, Massie works closely with WAVE Equity Partners portfolio companies; assisting Leadership to implement sales and leadership best practices to accelerate growth.
Thomas was a non-commissioned Officer in the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division and is an active volunteer member of the American Legion. He is currently the Founder and Chairman of Warriors A Team Inc., a non-profit dedicated to assisting other US Military Veterans who struggle re-acclimating into civilian life.
He received a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Wayne State University.
